Hikers are welcome to ride the lift as well.Literally, the coolest town in North Carolina is Beech Mountain. Once at the summit, bikers will need to exit the resort property and take a short ride along the road to the Emerald Outback Trailhead. The resort's lift includes trays to carry mountain bikes to the summit, with riders following closely behind in a traditional lift chair.
